Weeding


That is how we spent our Sunday morning here in the
Garden State.
This is the "before".

Farmer Dad will like these photos, because they give the impression that
he is the one doing the work, while I "take the pictures".


I did uncover some butternut squash that had been covered by some mint gone wild.

You sure do make the most of your lot, Kate. I had never seen an unripened butternut before -- it never occurred to me that they go through a green stage like everything else! They're my second favorite squash, and acorn is third.

Next season you might consider planting some delicata -- my favorite squash because it needs to sweetener or butter to make it as yummy as dessert!
