Vintage Thingies Thursday

It is that time of the week again... We live with a lot of vintage pieces here in our little corner of the Garden State.
Especially in the kitchen. Here are a couple of juicers...this one I got at a yard sale
last spring. It was an awesome sale that sent me home with a truckload of goodness
(boxes of canning jars, canning pot,a bike, etc) all for under $40.00!

we love fresh squeezed orange juice...

so easy, and fun.

Princess finds it easier than this one, but they are both fun for her.

I picked this one up at a flea market almost twenty years ago..

This little pitcher came from the same yard sale as the first juicer.
Doesn't she look proud of herself? Be sure to head over to Coloradolady

Isn't it great when you find some classic article like this that not only looks great but still functions? I saw something similar at a garage sale a year or so ago that was only $10. Still, I thought it was too much at the time. Obviously I'm still thinking about it and kicking myself!

These are great! I would so much prefer a vintage juicer to the new ones today. There is just a certain charm in the older ones that the new ones do not have.

Great post today...makes me want to find a juicer like the first one. Love it.

Have a great VTT. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us today, it has been a real treat!

The glass juicers I remember - - - many people had them in their kitchens when I was a child.

I've never seen ANYTHING like the metal one before.

Nothing is better than fresh-squeezed juice. My mother used a glass pyrex one so I had to get myself one too.

Don't you just love old vintage kitchenware? It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I think using it would even make my drink feel much more special. Please stop by and visit and browse for a while. If you like what you see, be sure to click the "Follow" button so that we can inspire each other often!

The juicer looks like fun, but I love the tablecloth and the beautiful table underneath! Is it enamel? It reminds me of Grandma's, which Mom has now, and I want!

I'm too lazy to squeeze my own juice. I used to use frozen concentrate just because it was cheap. Now I buy juice in plastic jugs and individual bottles and it is pretty good most of the time.

I am sorry to say, I had at one time a jucier just like yours. Sold it in a garage sale. What do I know. Great post and thanks for visiting my post.

Very cool! I love it when the kids get involved. I'm not a fresh juice person because I am afraid of pulp!

Wow. That juicer sure does have some sharp looking teeth on her.
It's great that she works so wonderfully. Some things just don't need to change, do they?

I've also seen the glass juicer but
this metal one is totally new to
me. Did they use this at a restaurant
or diner perhaps?

Oh my! I LOVE that pitcher. Too sweet! I also love fresh squeezed orange juice! It is the perfect beverage! I always get sad that it is so much work for such a tiny bit of juice.
