We were just us three this year and it all went pretty smoothly.Farmer Dad picked some nice fresh carrots in the morning..
I roasted them along with beets, onions, and butternut squash also all grown here.
We served them along with our turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dressing, cranberry sauce,
brussel sprouts , rolls and gravy. Desert was pumpkin pie
and vanilla ice cream for the Princess who does not like pie. Here I am making a plate for the little one, and here's what my plate looked like as
I sat down to eat...
appreciate you being in my life! Here is some more autumnal goodness
that I am thankful for...

What a lovely looking dinner.
Absolutely beautiful!
I'm especially lovin' that purple carrot! Did they turn out sweet, or more "earthy?" I've got a bunch from the co-op in my crisper.
I also have a fondness for the yellow autumn leaves -- when the light's just right, oh, how they glow!
Does Princess have some snow to play in yet?
Hope you are well, Kate, & if I don't see you before then, have a wonderful Christmas & the best New Year ever.
Just wanted to stop by and wish you and your family and very happy and healthy new year, Kate. May 2010 bring all good things to you.
♥, Susan
