Seed starting assembly line style

Farmer Dad and Princess started some seeds this past Saturday.
Lettuce and such....






I checked them yesterday, and they are starting to poke out already!

Spring is almost here!

The sun was shining, the sky was clear, and we were out and about to see
what was growing in our little corner of the Garden State.
We found a lot more green than last time I brought the camera outside.
Bulbs are coming up, crocus and snowdrops are blooming.
The forsythia is getting ready for the big show it likes to put on for my birthday.;-)

The cherry ,pear and plum trees are putting buds on, and the primrose is ready to
break out from under a pile of leaves. Even the roses are getting ready to come alive again.
It just makes me feel good to see the fruit bushes getting ready to come around to another growing
season. Here is the new red raspberry bush we just planted.

It was a great day to walk outside and see what was happening all around the yard.

This Momma is just one of them.

Spring is just around the corner

bits of green are popping up all over and we have a pile of
organic seed ready to start!
P and I started some lettuce seed and they are sprouting like crazy...

Snow Day!!

Monday we were walking on Point Pleasant Beach, and Friday it's snowing!
So typical February in New Jersey!!

Long time ..no post.

Yesterday we had a sneak peak at spring here in the Garden State.
61 degrees, sunny. We played outside in the yard for a bit and then headed
down to the Jersey Shore.
Here are a few shots of life returning to our little corner of the Garden State...

Windy in the burbs!

Oh yes, it was.
Our little greenhouse flew over and the contents spilled out.














P and I went outside in our jammies to clean it up.













We brought the plants inside and I moved the greenhouse next to the house.

First Snow

It finally snowed...just a little.
We went outside to play and keep warm around the fire pit.
